ABOUT US

The Seed Association of the Americas (SAA) is a non-governmental organization that fully represents the interests of the seed industry within the Americas. The main purposes of the SAA are to educate and support development, trade and free movement of seed within the continent and advocate seed industry legislation and regulation issues as to ensure plant property rights.

To promote and facilitate seed business and trade within the Americas and globally.

The Seed Association of the Americas is the globally recognized leading authority, representing with a unified voice all common interests for the seed industry in the Americas.

Our goals

Promote and facilitate seed business and trade within the Americas and globally.

Promote the discussion between the public and private sector of the different countries towards harmonization of legislations in order to promote growth of the industry and adoption of new technologies.

Contribute to achieve a better understanding of the importance of training and education as a vital support for future farming and agriculture.

Facilitate the regional attendance at organizations like UPOV, ISTA, FAO-IPPC and OECD.

Strengthen relations and discussions with other seed associations such as ISF, CLI, Euroseeds, AFSTA & APSA.
